EMIS Alliance Training: Working Assessment Missing Lists

Assessment missing reports can be used prior to and after receiving assessment results to review students for whom test results are expected and who do not have results reported. This is not a comprehensive assessment training but rather a focused session on working with assessment missing reports. EMIS Staff should work closely with testing staff to ensure student assessments are reported to EMIS correctly and completely. We will be looking at all assessment records and taking a look at the missing reports. We will view the Score Not Reported Reasons and when this may be necessary. Districts should work with others in the district to determine why students did not take an assessment.

ProgressBook Elementary Scheduling

This is a training for elementary-style scheduling forProgressbook StudentInformation/DASL users. This includes scheduling students into groups of courses to produce their schedules, as opposed to giving students course requests and running the batch scheduler. We will go through the elementary scheduling training guide and users may use time after the session to work on their homerooms and schedules for 2023-2024. Topics include: -Prepare rooms and homerooms -Courses and sections (master scheduling) -Course groups -Bulk assign students into homerooms -Bulk assign homerooms into their course groups -Manual schedule changes -Reports

EMIS Alliance: Tools for Troubleshooting Data Associated with Report Card Measures

This training will assist EMIS Coordinators and other key district/school personnel in building foundational skills in data literacy to improve the ability for educators to better explore, understand, and communicate with data in a meaningful way. The new module will include real data troubleshooting opportunities reflecting some of the reporting issues experienced with the Report Card. Key Components of this training:

Data Literacy and Data Teams
The Secure Data Center and other tools for troubleshooting data
Report Card data troubleshooting examples

Please note: The intent is for ITCs to offer the Tools for Troubleshooting Data Associated with Report Card Measures course to teams of district staff, which could include district and building administrators alongside district EMIS Coordinators. Districts are asked to have other key district staff in addition to the EMIS Coordinator attend this session.
